A fairy tail fanfic
CHAPTER 1: HAYATES DEATH
As the eclipse gate opened , the
dragons ,that were said to have vanished, reappeared before everyone's very eye.the dragons started to begin their attack on fiore and the citizens were in panic and scattered all over. The wizards of fairy tail and the other guilds were evacuating the civilians out of the kingdom. Leon, Lexion and the others were guiding the people out trying to control the panic. Just as a dragon was about to attack a crying child, Leon rushed and jumped towards the dragon shouting "ICE DRAGON KICK," his foot covered in a block of ice , kicking the dragon in the head only pushing it back. The mother grabbed her child and ran , "this is insane we have to get everyone out of here ", Leon told his brother lexion back to back,"yeah let's regroup with the others",lexion replied looking tired. They were unable to kill the dragons, even with their dragon slayer magic , they were only able to hold them back as everyone was being evacuated. Grave arrived at the scene in his crime sorcere cloak , "I'll help evacuate the civilians, you two just keep those dragons busy for a few minutes .", grave commanded As he starts to lift all the civilians with his gravity magic and uses his void magic to teleport them. As the two started to weaken , the dragons kept coming nonstop and just as two dragons were about to attack them with their guards down ,Hayate grabbed both of their tails using a requip weapon: Hercules gauntlets , which gave him unbelievable strength of the greek demigod. He used all of his strength to pull the dragons away in a angry voice,"get the hell away from my family!!", he shouts as he tosses the dragons towards buildings. "Are you two ok ?", He asks with concern in his eyes,Leon and lexion nod, looking exhausted,as Hayate help them up , "I want you two to find grave and have him get you out of here" Hayate told them,"are you insane we're not leaving you here dad!", lexion replied shocked,"yeah, we aren't leaving you behind !!",Leon replied also worried."there's no time for this, I'll join up with you two later..." Hayate said as he turned his back facing the hoards of dragons heading towards them " don't worry it'll take a lot more than these dragons to kill me .", He said with confidence. As he got a running start , a gold aura appeared around him and jumped "meteor!!", he chanted as his body became as fast as a actual meteorite , hitting every dragon in his sight. Leon and lexion had no choice but to run,as they ran towards makarov guiding the others, but then the two dragons that Hayate threw, jumped from the buildings and lunged at Leon and lexion. Time seemed to move slowly as their lives flashed before their eyes ,but just before the dragons attacked them a voice was heard "Leon , Lexion !!!!!" , a few seconds later a body was seen before them with the dragons claws going through him, it was Hayate covered in blood , looking weak and holding the dragons back. He placed his hand on the dragons and whispered in a weak voice "......shatter.....", the dragons skin started to crack and they completely shattered. Leon and lexion were frozen in shock as they realized what Hayate did,"are.....are you two ok......", he asked in a weak voice and falls but Leon and lexion caught him," dad .......what the hell were you think you dumb ass !?!?"Leon shouted at him worried,"you're horribly injured, we have to get you out of here"lexion said, worried about his fathers injuries."th.....that won't be necessary you...two I don't think... I'm ....gonna make it", Hayate replied in a weak but calm voice, "d....don't say that we can help you" ,Leon said a bit scared," please Hayate just let us help you",lexion said starting to cry a bit. As the dragons flew pass them , Hayate knew his time was almost up," it's ok you two....I lived a good life......I made friends,I made enemies ....and I .....I started a family ...my only regret.....is that I won't be able to see you two become S-class wizards." He said ,Leon replied crying a bit,hugging Hayate ,"shut up you don't mean that ,your gonna make it!!" ,"please don't leave us like mom.......please....",lexion said as he hugged Hayate crying as well. As makarov was guiding the civilians he noticed something was wrong and looked in the direction Leon, lexion and Hayate were in."Leon ......lexion I want you two to tell the other what I'm about to say to you......"Hayate said in a weak voice,"Leon,....your and your brother are strong wizards but also have the kindest hearts.....I still believe you two have....what it takes to become X-classed wizards.....lexion,.....please...try to control yourself when you fight natsu...", he says with a smile"...you two.....always seem...... to wreck half of the guild " Hayate said laughing a bit. As his sight became blurry, a voice started echoing "hey old man...", the area changed to a forest and a young Hayate sitting on a tree branch with makarov sitting against the tree reading,"hey old man ....",a young Hayates voice , spoken clearly,"huh what is it Hayate" makarov said as he shut his book. Hayate had the look that he had just gotten out of a fight," people always say I bring nothing but bad luck with me.......do you think......my existence...is meaningless or not", he says with a blank expression on face. makarov looked up at the sky and let out a small sigh,"well....how do I put this ...you'll find out .....", the area started to fade away,".....in time",Makarovs voice echoed as it showed him , in present time , crying a bit. Hayate smiled with blood trickling from lips," one more thing.......tell everyone...." Visions of Hayates life flashed before his eyes and he started to bite his lip and cried a bit," tell everyone......th-thank you for loving me" he cried not with tears of sadness, but with tears of joy knowing he lived his life to the fullest.just as Hayate said his last few words, he fell slowly to the ground in front of Leon and Lexion, as he hit the ground his blood splattered a bit on the ground, his eyes closed, not a breath came in or out and all he had was a smile on his face , "da-dad.....dad", Leon said with a tremble in his voice,"no.....god ......no....."lexion *clutched the ground and tears fell from there eyes knowing that there father was dead. The two then let out a loud cry of both sadness,anger and regret.as grave stood there shocked , Leon and lexion fainted from shock and their wounds. Grave rushed over to them and teleported themselves away from the dragons to a safe location.
